Oil Pulling is the practice of swishing oils from plants in the mouth for 10-15min to produce health benefits. It is believed that oil pulling helps in LYMPHATIC SYSTEM of the body to remain in a good health. Lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help to get rid the body of toxins, waste.

Oil Pulling Easy Steps:

  1. scoop out 1 tbsp of plant based oil( preferably coconut oil).
  2. gently swish the oil, pulling it in and out of your teeth for about 10-15min.
  3. spit the oil into trash.
  4. rinse your mouth with water.
  5. brush your teeth.

Power packed Salad!

Today, I will share protein power salad! Its a mixture of red kidney beans(rajma), tomato, onion, lettuce !This salad helps to induce satiety and keeps you from mindless munching. Following are the health benefits:

  1. regulates blood sugar
  2. sustains weight loss
  3. strengthen bones

Recipe :

  1. 1 1/2 cups boiled red rajma (red kidney beans)
  2. 1 chopped tomato
  3. 1 chopped onion
  4. shredded lettuce for garnish
  5. 2 tbsp olive oil
  6. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  7. salt and black pepper powder, to taste

Mix the beans, tomato, onion, add olive oil, lemon juice and salt and pepper. Just before serving,  Scatter lettuce around the salad.

Energy (kcal) – 36

protein (g) – 0.8

Carbohydrates (g) – 3.3

One of my favourite juices: beetroot, carrot and apple. Extremely easy to make and full of energy. Amazing health benefits as follows:

  1. Improves stamina
  2. Moisturises dry skin
  3. Prevents signs of Ageing
  4. Reduces inflammation
  5. Controls diabetes

Recipe:

  1. 4 carrots chopped
  2. 1 boiled beetroot chopped
  3. 1 apple chopped
  4. crushed ice {optional}

Juice all the ingredients and most importantly have it immediately.

  2. fat : 0 g

I like to have almost twice a week when I really need my energy for the day. A glass in the morning can carry the whole days workload. Hope you guys would try this out!

lemon n lime

Lemon and lime are citrus fruits with similar nutritional facts and health benefits. However, they have some differences too!

Limes are small, round and green while lemons are usually larger oval shaped and bright yellow. Both fruits are acidic and sour but lemons tend to be sweeter, while limes have a more bitter flavor.  These flavours differences leads to their different culinary uses

They each contain lots of vitamin C, antioxidants and may aid weight loss over time. lime and lemon are good additions to many hot and cold drinks.

A common dosage recommendation is 20gm (about 1 tablespoon)of chia seeds, twice per day. They can be soaked in water and consumed directly or mixed with any kind of juice.

Whenever we make paneer(cottage cheese) at home we get WHEY, which is yellowish liquid after serving paneer(cottage cheese). Don’t throw this Natural Protein Rich left over water of cottage cheese, yogurt hung. The whey in paneer (cottage cheese) and yoghurt is a natural and healthy from of whey that has no side effects. Instead of using  water  to make your dough, use whey instead.
